What were the first few weeks of the Pandemic like for you?
The first few weeks of the pandemic were spent watching every news
channel I could. Watching the world map and how fast Covid spread from
country to country.
What was the summer like?
My family and I spent most of our weekends at our other home in Big
Bar, BC which is in the country, 45 minutes from town. It was a great
escape from reality as we only have DVDs and a Wii.
What’s been the hardest for you?
I haven't seen my dad in almost 2 years as he lives in Thailand and
they are closed off to international arrivals and departures. We do
message weekly so it helps.
What does your new routine look like?
I think like everyone else I have adapted to the new normal, but I
am definitely reaching for the light at the end of the tunnel with the
rest of the world.
How have you been taking care of yourself?
We bought another Wii for our Abbotsford home, so my family and I have
been having dance offs, bowling and playing guitar hero. Were all
competitive so it gets a little crazy lol. It's especially entertaining
to watch my husband dance with my 17 and 23 year old daughters.
We get by with a little help from our friends...who would you credit
as helping you through this time?
My coworkers have become a second family and I think we all lean on
each other as well share a lot of laughs together. I bought a elf on the
shelf for the Abby house, and it has been fun to see what my coworkers
come up with. There has been plenty of laughs over the last few weeks.
What are you looking forward to the most?
Looking forward to 2021, My husband and I booked a week in Cabo with
our kids for around Christmas next year. It gives us all something to
look forward too. If I could click my shoes together I would be sitting
on a beach right now with a drink in my hand lol.
Merry Christmas everyone, hopefully we can all get together in
the new year.
